Active shooter training advises LEOs to have something readily accessible to easily identify themselves. The standard for off-duty identification (ID), undercover, or for plain clothes operations is the belt badge or badge neck chain. However, these methods offer no rear ID and are easily overlooked. The NTOA MTRP rating scale is as follows:
3.00 – 3.99 receives the standard logo
4.00 – 4.49 receives the silver logo
4.50 – 5.00 receives the gold logo.

“The Law Enforcement Officer Identifier takes the old idea of a 'covert until you need it' ID patch and makes it better. If you carry concealed at any time, I would recommend looking into getting the system for yourself. A modification I haven't seen before but really like is the four separate breakaway sections on the chain to keep it from being used as a choking weapon against you. Overall the construction quality is very high. Anything that can prevent a Blue-on-Blue incident is good to go in my book, and the system is one of the best I've seen. I would highly recommend this product to any officer carries covertly either on duty or off.
